Jos Journal of Humanities

The Jos Journal of Humanities, published by the Faculty of Arts, University of Jos, Nigeria, is a reputable peer-reviewed journal whose main objectives are:

  • to foster theoretical and empirical research and publication among scholars from various higher institutions of learning in Nigeria and abroad
  • to encourage junior scholars to collaborate with more senior scholars in order to promote interaction and mentoring
  • to focus on various aspects of the arts that are of direct relevance to Nigeria in particular, and Africa in general
  • to reach as wide as possible an area of coverage including all of Nigeria, Africa and the rest of the world.

The Editorial Board welcomes articles from various disciplines within and outside the humanities which address contemporary issues and events. As from the year 2010, the journal will be published on a regular quarterly basis. Plans are also underway to establish a strong web presence for the journal in addition to a much better and professionally produced print edition.
